Dr. Linda Morse has a wide range of education and experiences which formed her into an excellent author & tutor for acupuncture review classes.
Dr. Morse started writing the “Examination Workbook for Traditional Chinese Medicine,” in 2002. The book has changed tremendously since its inception. As acupuncture colleges/universities all over the country have flourished, bloomed and excelled in adding highly educated acupuncturists that are experts in their field; national and state exams have changed to achieve this highest level of competency.
Dr. Morse’s book “Examination Workbook for Traditional Chinese Medicine,” also adapted to reflect these new standards of proficiency and continues to be one of the most sought after review books in the country. This book provides students with valuable information to enable them to pass all acupuncture exams, while they are in Acupuncture College or taking state & national board exams. Dr. Morse’s book “Examination Workbook for Traditional Chinese Medicine,” has gained national recognition, and is a "must have" for traditional Chinese medicine & acupuncture review students.
Look Inside BookDr. Morse has been teaching for over forty years and began by teaching classical and modern piano with such methods as classical and Suzuki. While teaching piano she became involved in sustainable organic agriculture. This led to educating people on how to grow and harvest vegetables, herbs and flowers. These classes also involved training in the preparation of tinctures, drying herbs and flowers and cooking of the harvested foods.
A decision to attend Acupuncture College led Dr. Morse to Los Angeles, California. While attending Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine she continued instructing in piano and after finishing college Dr. Morse began tutoring for all major acupuncture exams.
Now with 21 years of experience with board prep classes she has become the instructor that students turn to when they are ready to succeed with their California and National board exams.
Dr. Morse has been an acupuncturist for thirteen years and is deeply committed to her patients providing them with attention, reassurance and superior care. Acupuncture originated as early as the clan commune period of primitive society.
Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and to improve it’s own functions. The acupuncturist views the body as vital energy and the energy must be balanced. When the balance of energy is off the messages sent through the nervous system can be confusing. Western medical doctors follow the flow of blood though the blood vessels, whereas the acupuncturist assesses the flow and distribution of this energy within its pathways, which are known as meridians and channels. The needles are inserted into specific meridian points in the body. They are manipulated by the acupuncturist’s hands or by electrical stimulation.
